NEWS - A Sport's Enthusiast Review of Sporting News and Sports Illustrated Magazines. I will talk about two of my favorite sports magazines and why I consider it my favorite two. It will also provide a brief history of them, and for history buffs.
The first magazine I'm going to talk about is the Sporting News. This magazine began publishing in 1886 and remains strong today. It has 540,000 subscribers, including myself. In 2008 he went to a biweekly schedule. At first I was a little disappointed that changed weekly to a biweekly publication. Not necessarily like change, but who? But I do understand why it was changed to compete with other magazines that have updated their release schedule. Also for the magazine to keep updating, was launched in 2008 an online journal called Sporting News Today. They cover the main following sports: Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association, National Football League, National Hockey League, football and basketball, and NASCAR. They also cover many other sports.
I like reading articles and generally have an interview with a coach or player. I also like that have problems previewing the sports season. You will probably soon get my loved football, just in time for college and pro seasons next. They also publish sports-specific issues before the season starts, there are problems yearbook. Therefore, for the next college and NFL seasons, these issues can only focus on these two sports. There are separate issues for college and the NFL. There is in depth coverage, including lists, team statistics, predictions for next season and more. You can usually find these special edition at your local grocery or drug, if you can not always go their website and order. If you order online, shipping is pretty fast, are obtained in about a week.
My favorite sport other magazine to read, is Sports Illustrated. In my opinion, Sports Illustrated is the most popular and recognized name in the United States and probably worldwide. Founded in 1954 and has over three million subscribers. I would say it's a great brand recognition. Besides being known for its excellent sports coverage, also known for the annual emission of swimwear. I love to read SI for good coverage of different sports and high quality of writing. I also look forward to reading the point after the column and get the Sportsman of the Year near the end of the year.
